MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

                                                          98th Annual Memorial Day Parade

The Linglestown American Legion, Post 272, is sponsoring our 98th Annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday May 29, 2017.  You are cordially invited to participate in this tribute to our fallen comrades.

As with tradition, the Parade will begin promptly at 1 PM.  The staging area will be the Linglestown Fire Department Parking Lot and will proceed on Route 39 through the Linglestown, turning on Balthaser Street and ending at Koons Park. The Reviewing Stand and Quest Speaker remarks will be in the vicinity of the Linglestown Square. We want to get our invitations out in a timely manner and as the plans are finalized, participants will be expeditiously notified.  We also plan on posting Memorial Day Parade updates on our website – www.post272.com.

At the end of the parade, our Honor Guard will conduct our annual tribute to all veterans who have made the supreme sacrifice, so we as American Citizens, can enjoy the life and liberties that our country provides us.  The Honor Guard will lay a wreath and ceremony at the Koon’s Park Memorial Veterans Memorial.  This will conclude the official parade.

Remember that they gave so we don’t have to.

Thank you and we hope to see you at this year’s Memorial Day Parade.
